Home truths
Access to this home is by stairs only – be prepared for some of lugging of suitcases up three floors on arrival
Some of the walls have scuff marks and could do with a fresh lick of paint
It's on Calle Libreros, a very central road, so there will be some noise from the street
There master bathroom feels a bit run down, the shower leaks and the sink's faucet is loose
The apartment could do with a deep clean – we found some dust lurking on the lamps
Both bathrooms have no natural light or ventilation – they could feel stuffy to some

About Puerta del Sol
Puerta del Sol is the epicentre of the city and home to Madrid’s most famous meeting point – ‘Oso y El Madroño’, the bear with the strawberry tree. The central square of this neighbourhood is quite literally where all the roads in the Iberian peninsula lead to, which means it’s really hard to get lost if this is where you want to go. This area is popular both day and night, with buskers, natives, and tourists snapping photos of some of Madrid’s most iconic sights.
