A seven-minute walk from the lush and tranquil gardens of the Parc de la Ciutadella, the vibrant area of El Born is teeming with boutiques, cafés, restaurants, and charm. After wandering through the maze of paved streets, you'll find the original, dark wooden door of your Barcelona home. Your hosts at this historical building are ready to provide a first-class service. Whether you need taxis booked, tickets for city attractions, maps, or restaurant recommendations, you’ll get VIP treatment from the offset. Inside the flat, exposed brickwork and original wooden beams bring a rustic vibe to the space. However, minimalist and modern furnishings contrast this perfectly. We love the marble-clad bathroom, bringing yet more class and luxury to your surroundings. And with your own private balcony as well as a communal roof terrace atop the building, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing a sunny spot to sip your espresso in the morning. For the afternoon, head out to Barceloneta beach (just fifteen minutes away) to dip your toes into the Mediterranean Sea. There’s a metro stop of the same name only five minutes from home, so wherever you end up, you’ll have no trouble getting back to base.

About Gothic Quarter
Gothic Quarter is a true tourist hotspot, filled with shops and famous attractions on every corner. During the day, urban explorers fill its narrow, stone-paved streets, admiring the neo-Gothic sights – but it’s the night that sees the Quarter truly come to life. Home to some of the city’s most popular restaurants, bars, and quirky shops that stay open till late, the vibrant area is popular among young travellers and party-goers seeking the best Barcelona has to offer.

Visit the Cathedral of Barcelona
A picture perfect example of Gothic architecture and one of Barcelona's greatest sights. As beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside.
Pay a visit to the Arco de Triunfo
This arch was built as the main access point during the 1888 Barcelona World Fair and has remained a popular tourist attraction ever since.
Go for a boat ride at Parc de la Ciutadela
This is probably the greenest oasis in all of Barcelona. Created as the city's first public park in the mid 19th Century, it's a lovely place to while away an afternoon.
Eat brunch outside at Brunch & Cake by The Sea
Everything at Brunch & Cake is made by hand, and their slogan is 'In grandmothers we trust!' There's lots of outdoor space, so it's the ideal spot for a coffee or snack in the sun.
Connect with your wild side at the zoo
Barcelona Zoo is located in the Parc de la Ciutadella. Probably most famous for having been home to Snowflake, the only known albino gorilla.
Experience a true Catalan tavern at La Xampanyeria
The speciality of La Xampanyeria is Cava – the house bottle won't break the bank, and you can accompany your sparkling wine selections with typical tapas. A must do in the city!
Try the best seafood in town at La Cova Fumada
This seafood restaurant has become something of an institution in Barcelona. Try the catch of the day, it's the perfect way to discover Catalan specialities.
Pay a visit to Elsa & Fred
Located down a narrow alleyway, you’ll discover a bustling little place with great service, a fun atmosphere and delicious food.
Discover the beauty of Santa Maria del Mar
This imposing basilica in the Ribera district was built at the height of Principality of Catalonia's maritime and mercantile preeminence – an outstanding example of Catalan Gothic architecture.
Choose your dinner at La Paradeta
The motto is: Sail away with us! This unique cross between a fish market and a restaurant, and it doesn't get much fresher than that. Come and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and great service.
Go for vermut and tapas at Bormuth
With a great atmosphere and a great selection of tapas, Bormuth is a great place to go for a drink and snack.
Enjoy Traditional Tapas at El Xampanyet
Cozy bar with a buzzing vibe offering traditional tapas, cava, and wine. Amazing food, friendly staff, and a great variety of dishes to choose from. Highly recommended for a taste of traditional Barcelona.

Host
This home is managed by Emma
This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Emma and her team seemed very on the ball when we met them. They do this professionally, and you can tell that they have plenty of experience between them. It does mean, however, that it might not be Emma who you meet, but one of her colleagues.
