We love the setting, on the ground floor of a stand-out riverside building – a converted, warehouse-style block with red brickwork and tons of sash windows across its facade. The interiors are just as gorgeous, but lean more towards modern than traditional. In the bright living space, you’ve got your own huge window and fabulous exposed brickwork at one end, then a stylish, understated kitchen at the other. In between, there’s a certain Scandi feel from the furniture, but you’re brought back to York with the colourful canvas of the historic cityscape above the plush sofa.
