If you're looking for heaven on earth, then it doesn't get much more magical than this villa in Sorrento. Perched on a cliff, with views across the Bay of Naples towards Mount Vesuvius, it's a breathtaking place to spend some quality time with your loved ones. Legend has it that this home rests on the foundations of an ancient aristocratic villa that was built as a wedding gift, and it's not hard to feel the sense of romance here. With multiple terraces and balconies, you can spend much of your time outside soaking up the sun and gazing out across the sea. There's an outdoor dining space for long, lavish dinners – don't forget the prosecco – and a jacuzzi where you can soak under the stars. And, the inside space is just as fabulous, where you'll find serene spaces with luxurious soft furnishings and even a four-poster bed. It wouldn't be hard to never leave this sanctuary, but a twenty-minute walk will bring you down to Peter's Beach, where you can relax on the shoreline or take a dip in the sea. There are plenty of local restaurants serving regional specialties and freshly-caught seafood to try when you get... hungry. And, if you fancy a day trip, you can drive to Positano, Amalfi, and even the lost city of Pompei in less than an hour.
