From the apartment, it’s just a ten-minute walk to the Old Town, where you’ll be blown away by the sheer number of outstanding pintxos bars and restaurants. In San Sebastian, it’s essential to be hungry at all times because the food is unlike anywhere else.

You couldn’t get closer to the beach – both the surfer’s haven Zurriola and the crescent-shaped La Concha are within a  ten-minute walk from this bright and airy apartment. You’ll be staying in Gras, a popular neighbourhood amongst young locals, artists and musicians. This is where you’ll find the city’s surfing beach and many of its cultural institutions. For reference, you’re about a ten-minute walk from Zurriola Beach and Kursaal, a cutting-edge theatre and auditorium. For pintxos, we recommend heading over the river to the bars and restaurants of the Old Town.

At capacity, one guest will need to sleep on the sofa bed in the living area and it’s likely you will might some street noise during your stay. But the rooms still offer a calm space to unwind and admire the views and take in the beauty of your privileged surroundings.

La Arena Arrasate

Absolutely surrounded by cafes, bars, and restaurants, this stylish home in San Sebastián is a foodies idea of heaven. But you don’t need to be clued up on the difference between kale and cavolo nero to appreciate all that’s on offer here. The inside, for one, is a beautiful blend of crisp white and intricate patterns – a credit to the host, as it takes a trained eye to mix as many motifs without a clash. The sleek black kitchen sits in sharp contrast to the rest of the home and is pretty spacious, so if you do want to try and replicate some of the recipes you've come across, then we’re sure your family and friends would love to sample it around the dining table. 

From the lounge, you can keep an eye on the beachfront, but why not move a little closer with a glass of rioja and sit out on the balcony overlooking the Cantabrian Sea. Watching the sunset from here would undoubtedly be beautiful, but we recommend walking six minutes to the Sagües park known for sunset walks. 

Spend one whole day exploring Old Town – it is a thirty-minute walk to get there, but there are a couple of historical landmarks, as well as an observation deck that looks out over the ocean, that’s well worth the trip. When you’re not kicking back with cocktails at one of the bars, or sunbathing on the beach, you can wander the streets of San Sebastián, hoarding as many treats as possible. Take it all back home, kick back, and indulge as you let go of every last bit of stress.

The Terracotta Lookout

With sophisticated elegance and a typical oriel window in which you can sit and gaze out at the streets below, this home is made for those with high expectations. But that’s not all: located just one block from the beach of Zurriola, this is where the young and free gather for beach games, surfing, music and more. Cross the bridge and you’ll find yourself on the more traditional side of San Sebastian. The Beach of La Concha is home to the striking Belle Époque hotel and spa, La Perla. It offers excellent food and beautiful views of the golden sands. Head north into the city’s Old Town with its huge selection of pintxos restaurants and bars. Luckily, the walk home is short.

This San Sebastián apartment absolutely nails it when it comes to location. The sandy Zurriola Beach is a five-minute stroll away (perfect for surfing), while Old Town is walkable in ten – if that's not central, we don't know what it is. When you're not out and about, the contemporary living space has relaxation written all over it. Two single bedrooms make it an ideal option for families. The cherry on top is a private balcony. There's only room for two to sit comfortably, but it's the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of sangria as the sun goes down.

Personally, we think a trip to San Sebastian is always a good idea, no matter the weather or time of year. And that’s where this home comes into play. Light and airy, the apartment is nicely decorated with a contemporary style. A highlight is the balcony off the master bedroom, accessed through the large French doors. The flat is located just a few streets from the beach of Zurriola, a beautiful stretch of sand for a stroll on a cold winter’s day and the perfect spot for sunbathing and surfing in the summer. Tucked away in the neighbourhood of Gros, it’s just a short walk along the river Urumea to reach the Old Town with its vast number of pintxos restaurants and bars. Welcoming up to six guests, this home offers comfort and ease in a great location.

The apartment itself is light and airy, thanks to a large patio door opening out onto the balcony. Wood effect tile floors and musical prints give this place a homely feel. When you prefer to eat in rather than out, then cook up some tortilla de patatas in the sleek black kitchen and enjoy it at your bar table. After a busy day, get ready for bed in the modern bathroom and get some shut-eye in the comfy bed with its plush green velvet headboard.
