This is the home of our boho Venice dreams – a bright, leafy bungalow furnished impeccably with shabby chic style. The private garden has a lovely old-fashioned patio set for enjoying morning coffee and pastries, while the firepit can warm up a couple of friends on cooler nights. Perfect for a couple or solo traveller, the bright inside spaces of this home seamlessly blend together. We love the paneled windows that line the living area and kitchen, bringing in plenty of light and greenery. The bedroom continues the fairytale feel – every element of design is pitch-perfect, from the bedspread to the gilded mirror. And the gold tub certainly has us craving a glamorous soak. As far as location, this home continues to hit the nail on the head. You’ll be just a ten-minute walk from the excellent restaurants and shopping of Abbot Kinney and less than half an hour from Venice beach (or a quick ten-minute bike ride). On the other side of you, Lincoln Boulevard has grown into a busy hub of delicious restaurants and boutiques that give Abbot Kinney a run for its money – you’ll be a quick six-minute walk from most of them.

Just a short stroll from Venice Beach, this light-flooded LA home is a modernist's dream. Stripped back wooden floors and ceilings, a California sky colour palette, and floor-to-ceiling windows may have you fooled that you're actually outside. And that's what this home does so wonderfully, it marries its ample inside space with its smaller outdoor area, blurring the lines between the two. The prime is example is obvious for all to see – the pool and hot tub are half inside the living room. Slide open the glass doors and you can pad from your sofa to the water and back in a few steps. This Venice home is an absolute delight. The proportions and layout are lovely, it's flooded with natural light, has great eco-credentials and it has a private and peaceful outdoor space. Stylishly decorated with a mid-century modern feel, and just a five-minute drive away from the beach, this place is pretty easy to love. Its recent redesign has made it sustainable – there's solar power and an osmosis water filtration system – and created a guesthouse we'd be thrilled to call home for a while. Sit in front of the gas flame fireplace, rustle up a meal in the kitchen (it's a bit retro but we love it) and sit out under the stars in your pretty garden – the soothing sound of the water feature will soon have you ready for bed. Just a short drive or a thirty-minute walk from the beach, you'll probably be heading down there most days. Santa Monica is very close by and it's just a twenty-five-minute drive from Hollywood. You'll also be able to stroll to some of the best bars and restaurants in LA on Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Rose Avenue.
