This 17th-century Tuscan villa boasts a large private pool, lovely views, and a private chapel on its expansive grounds. The interior is traditional and elegant, and perhaps won't be to everyone's taste. But most of the bedrooms enjoy their own en-suites, and the gardens are great for pets –there's more than enough space for alfresco dining, or just relaxing under the century-old trees. Your host can arrange all manner of extras, from private chefs to wine tours in Chianti, to make your stay special. We recommend having a car here to get the most out of your stay – the idyllic hilltop village of Cortona and the gorgeous Lake Trasimeno are an easy drive away.
