This 17th-century villa lies in the rolling vistas of Tuscany, boasting a private pool and billiards. Many of the furnishings are antiques and the traditional look won't be for everyone, but the views of the surrounding vineyards are wonderful. We think families will be very comfortable here – the grounds have space for kids to play, and your host can provide a cot and high chair for free if you're travelling with little ones. If you don't drive, you'll find a train station within walking distance for days out in Florence, but we think it's worth hiring a car for ease of exploring.
