If you want to be in the capital but near an open, green space, this studio, close to Alexandra Park with its 196 acres of parkland, is ideal. You'll also find here Alexandra Palace, a Grade II listed entertainment and sports venue – the views over London are panoramic. They are not the only vistas around, though – check out the leafy outlook from this light-filled home. We love the bi-folding doors to the Juliet balcony – it brings a bit of the outdoors inside. As with most studios, the bed is in the living area.

Wood Green is located in North London close to Tottenham and Finsbury Park. Not one of the most standout locations in The Plum Guide yet has strong transport links being on the Piccadilly line. You can get into central London in around 20 minutes by tube. Closer to home you are not far from Alexandra Palace, a classic British music venue, while football lovers will appreciate being close to Tottenham FC's football ground.
