In the heart of Notting Hill, this basement-level apartment is a prime spot to call home. The location is perfect, especially if you're keen to discover vintage shops, local cafes, and the famous Portobello Road. After a busy day of exploring, it's nice to return home to the cosy living area. One of the bedrooms is a tad snug, and the apartment lacks some natural light, but all the essentials are covered. There's even a patio, ideal for an alfresco aperitif. Factor in that the nearest Tube station is moments away, and it's no surprise it gets full marks from us.

Home truths

This is a basement-level flat, so you may have to climb some stairs here. It can also be a tad dark.

One of the double bedrooms is a bit more snug than the others. It has a bed pushed against the wall, so it's only accessible from one side.

This is a residential area, so hen and stag parties are not permitted.

There’s a desk in the bedroom if you need to work from home.

Parking isn’t provided, but a car isn’t needed in London. The nearest Tube station is just minutes away.

The wi-fi can be temperamental here. It might be worth bringing a personal hotspot device with you if you know you'll need to access the internet.

It's worth noting that the mattresses here are on the firmer side, so not everyone might find them comfortable.

Grand white stucco terraces and communal garden squares make up the majority of housing in the area, so architecture aficionados will be in for a treat. Large green spaces attract families and wealthy locals alike, who...
