Tucked away in a residential building in the heart of vibrant East Harlem, this apartment makes for a modern and comfortable base. Though it's worth noting two flights of stairs lay between you and relaxation, the climb up is worth it. Well-kept with plenty of space for five to move around, there's a small workspace for anyone needing to catch up on an email or two. But remember to kick back, you're on holiday, after all. Visit the Museum of the City of New York and Central Park – you can even walk if you're not in a rush. Public transport is also available nearby to get you to Times Square or the Statue of Liberty.
