Built in 1882, this former Bandon Grove schoolhouse welcomes large groups to discover a slice of Australian history with a dose of tranquillity. With some of the original features still on display – including soaring ceilings, sash windows and fireplaces – this heritage-listed home has plenty of charm. We especially like the terrace with a vine-covered and fairy-lit pergola ideal for alfresco meals. There's also a tennis court for private use. Though the bunk house sleeps eight guests with limited privacy, it's perfect for kids. And if you do need to stretch out a little more, there are always large living spaces and the back garden.
