Immerse yourself in the heartbeat of Rome with a stay in a 12th century turret, a stroll away from the Pantheon. Divided over four floors, guests are welcomed by a living area complete with a compact but full kitchen. Ascend the winding staircase to discover two bedrooms – each with an ensuite bathroom. At the top, there’s a mini home gym, and a desk for those working remotely. You can really feel the history of Rome in the frescoes by Taddeo and Federico Zuccari, but the narrow stairways may not suit everyone.

Home truths
This is an ancient tower, split across four levels with old, narrow staircases between floors. It would not suit children under four or those with limited mobility.
While the kitchen area is rather compact, it does have a full oven, stove, fridge and freezer.
It's a little cramped in the living area and the TV is quite small.
There is air conditioning in the bedrooms, but not in the living room.
In a central location, you may hear some street chatter with the windows open.
There is no private parking with this home, but it's in the centre of Rome. Having a car is not necessary.

About Pantheon
Pantheon is usually thronged with architectural and religious pilgrims, all on the hunt for the church. This fascination, which comes both from sheer wonder, and also a more complex response to a temple that has been dedicated to a variety of creeds, has understandably packed the surrounding streets with sellers of tat and bad ice cream. This is one of Rome's loudest areas, with the restaurants and bars staying open...
