You’ll really feel like you’ve escaped to the county at this wooden cabin in the Scottish Highlands. Nestled near a quiet stream on a 400-acre estate, the home boasts views across the Strathglass Valley from the balcony – best enjoyed while relaxing in the hammock. And with no TV or wi-fi, there’ll be nothing to distract you from your stunning surroundings. Though compact, the cosy cabin has everything you’ll need, including a fully-equipped kitchen, large sofa, and wood-burner. The bed is on a mezzanine level accessed via a ladder, so it won’t suit everyone, but the star-gazing roof window will make the climb up worth it. When you’re ready to explore, you’ll find waterfalls nearby, and Loch Ness a thirty-minute drive away.

About Inverness
With Loch Ness right next door, empty Glens dotting the countryside and the Speyside whisky region just down the road, folk tend to use Inverness as a base for exploring the untamed Scottish Highlands. But lingering a while in this small city has its rewards. Strolling between the willow trees on the banks of the River Ness and catching a glimpse of Inverness Castle is just one of those rewards....
