This apartment may be petite, but it's perfectly located in Paris' lively 9th arrondissement. Nearby metro stations make exploring a breeze, though with the shops on Grands Boulevards, the extravagant Opéra Garnier, and artsy Montmartre all within walking distance, a variety of exciting activities are close at hand, too. Back home, the mezzanine makes the most of the pocket-sized space – just note the ceilings are low and the steps rather steep. And while the living area is snug at best, it’s a fuss-free option for shorter visits. There's even a small sauna in the bathroom, ideal for decompressing after a busy day.

Home truths

This apartment is very tiny and lacks both storage space and natural light. We think it's best for quick trips and guests who plan to spend the majority of their time out and about.

Note that the bedroom is located in the mezzanine. The sloping ladder stairs are a bit steep, and the ceilings are low, making the bed difficult to access for some people.

Given that this is a ground-floor apartment in a lively area, some street noise is to be expected.

The only window here is in the living area.

The compact kitchen lacks an oven, but there is a hob. You'll find plenty of restaurants in the nearby area, though.

Your host can provide a cot on request for children up to 3 years old.

You'll be able to check yourself in via a lockbox.

About South Pigalle

South Pigalle, previously a rather seedy corner of Paris (home to the Moulin Rouge), has picked up a new nickname, 'SoPi', and gone all trendy. Most tourists alighting at the Pigalle metro station tend to walk up towards Montmartre and the Sacré-Coeur, but hipster Parisians – the self-styled BoBo (bourgeois bohemians) – head in the opposite direction, to South Pigalle. During the day, wander in and out of the gorgeous...
