A few steps from the Arc de Triomphe, this apartment is the perfect base for first-time visitors. Sightseeing is a breeze here. Many landmarks are within walking distance (including the Champs Elysées), but the metro is also nearby if you need to rest your feet. Want to take a breather between adventures? The living area is roomy and bright, while the main bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe ideal for fashionistas. There's even a little terrace – it needs a bit of a spruce, but it does the job just fine for alfresco apéritifs.

Home truths

The third bedroom has a single bed with a pull-out trundle underneath. We think it's best suited for children.

The galley-style kitchen is on the smaller side. While it has everything you need to rustle up lighter fare, we suggest dining out for larger meals.

The small terrace looks a little tired and doesn't offer any views.

Although there isn't air conditioning here, your host can provide fans.

A member of your host's team will greet you upon arrival.

Parking isn't provided, but you won't need a car in Paris. Many of the famous landmarks are within walking distance, and there are metro stations nearby for adventures further afield.

About Arc de Triomphe - Champs-Élysées

The Champs Elysees is one of the most famous streets in the world, so be prepared to come up against a fair few tourists, though you can sidestep the hordes pretty easily by exploring the side streets just off the main drag. For most, it's a mandatory stop, if only to catch a glimpse of the monumental Arc de Triomphe which crowns the avenue and which was commissioned by Napoléon...
