Unwind in the Dorset countryside at this cosy lakeside lodge. The views are the definition of idyllic, whether you're lounging in the grass, enjoying a soak in the hot tub, or sharing sundowners on the lawn. On chilly evenings, the log burner in the living area will be a big hit, too. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor, while upstairs, the low ceilings in the den and twin room make them the perfect hideout for little ones. Fancy exploring the local area? Sturminster Marshall's pubs and shops are within easy reach, while Bournemouth is thirty minutes by car.

Home truths

The two double bedrooms are on the ground floor. The twin bedroom is upstairs and has low ceilings, making it unsuitable for adults. The den and workspace also have limited head space and are recommended for children only.

Given the rural location, we suggest hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There's parking for up to two cars on the driveway.

The lead guest must be at least 21 years old.

Children and pets should be supervised at all times, as the lake is directly on the property and isn't fenced.

A small portable gas barbecue is available upon request.

While you'll have access to the lake, fishing isn't allowed.

Your host provides a starter supply of mini-sized toiletries.
