This delightful home is a wonderful base in Florence, tucked away in the historic district of San Niccolò. Enjoy a top floor, a large private garden bordering the historic city walls built between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries and fortified by Michelangelo Buonarrati in the sixteenth century. It’s a short walk from Piazzale Michelangelo and within easy reach of the city’s hotspots, including the Duomo and the treasures within the Uffizi. From the lush, flower-filled gardens, you can admire views of Torre San Niccolò and the bell tower of the Basilica of Santa Croce. We love the gardens, which boast an alfresco dining space, sun loungers, and wisteria and walnut trees. Inside, you’ll find designer furnishings in the quiet apartment. It’s equipped with everything you might need, including a desk and a charming reading nook on the mezzanine.

The San Miniato Church is the best place to watch the sunset over the domes and spires of the city. It's less congested than the central neighbourhoods over the river, and the beautiful architecture and abundance of green spaces add to the sense of calm. Walking around the...
