This traditional chalet makes for a serene getaway in the French Alps. With a self-contained apartment on the ground floor, it’s an ideal base for friends or families where one couple values a little extra privacy. That said, outdoors is a special place to gather whatever the season – who can resist those far-reaching mountain views? After a day on the slopes, the sauna or in front of the fire with a fondue are the perfect places to unwind. And when it comes to skiing, the ski bus stops just 250 metres away, granting easy access to the pistes of La Clusaz.

Home truths

This home is spread across three levels, with the ground floor set up as a self-contained apartment with its own entrance. The apartment is separate from the upper level and only accessible from the outside.

If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance and bring your own cot linen.

We recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. On-site parking is available for five cars here.

The driveway can be tricky in winter, even when cleared of snow. You may prefer to park on the road and walk up to the chalet – it's around a 50-metre walk.
