This petite pad is packed with style. We were instantly drawn to the traditional details like stained glass windows, ornate crown moulding, and arched doorways, but the combination of contemporary and classic features really caught our attention. It's on the smaller side, and the open-plan living space and second bedroom feel particularly snug. Even so, both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, one has a desk for remote working, and the location is excellent. You'll be just steps away from the Champs-Élysées, a fifteen-minute stroll from the Arc de Triomphe, and twenty-five minutes from the Eiffel Tower.

Home truths

The second bedroom is on the smaller side. The bed is pushed against the wall, and the space is rather tight.

This apartment is on the ground floor.

As is common in France, one bathroom lacks a toilet. There’s a separate WC in the hallway, though.

If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair upon request.

The kitchen is compact and doesn't have a lot of counter space. We think it's better to prepare lighter fare – plenty of eateries are a short walk away.

About Arc de Triomphe - Champs-Élysées

The Champs Elysees is one of the most famous streets in the world, so be prepared to come up against a fair few tourists, though you can sidestep the hordes pretty easily by exploring the side streets just off the main drag. For most, it's a mandatory stop, if only to catch a glimpse of the monumental Arc de Triomphe which crowns the avenue and which was commissioned by Napoléon...
