A stay here showcases rural living at its best. Surrounded by woodland with a lake on the grounds, you can sip on water from the home’s spring and truly switch off – just be sure to keep an eye on little ones, as the lake is deep and not for swimming in. Inside, although some areas such as the bathroom may feel a little dated, you’ll find traditional features, open fires and all the home comforts you could want. With Stroud and Nailsworth a ten-minute drive away, you can enjoy country comforts yet easy access to beautiful Cotswold towns.

Home truths

While not all bathrooms are photographed, we expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.

Your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance and bring your own cot linen.

There's a deep unfenced lake at this home. If you're bringing children, they'll need to be supervised at all times. Guests can sit by the lake but don't have access to the private land or pool to the left of the lake.

The twin bedroom is fitted with a zip and link bed that can be prepared as a super king on request (although space will be limited).
