About Hackney
Hackney – the name of this neighbourhood is now more likely to evoke the image of a hipster on a bicycle with a sourdough loaf stuffed in their satchel rather than anything else. Filled with great independent restaurants, cafes and pubs, this part of town is a delight to explore. The green expanses of London Fields and Victoria Park are pretty unbeatable on a summer's day and be sure to check out Broadway Market and Victoria Park Village too, where you'll wander through leafy streets of period houses, and rub shoulders with London's hip young arts and media types.
