Milliner has a history as a family home – Olimpia actually grew up here – and as such it’s got a bit of soul to it. It’s been designed to last, and many of the pieces of furniture have a sense of intransigence to them, from the tree boughs to the wicker and the collection of books. The space is slightly lopsided, as most of it feels quite large, but the second bedroom is definitely undersized, but this is really just a quibble. It’s a welcoming, genuine place.

When we checked, the hairdryer was pretty weak
The second bedroom is very small and doesn't have much in the way of storage space
The fireplace works but Olimpia would rather you didn't use it
