Nordic design meets modern cool in this stylish Lisbon apartment. The contrast of timber and concrete gives the place a striking look, while the leafy pot plants and jute rugs add a touch of rooted cosiness. When you’re not making yourself comfortable in the calming living space, you’ll be basking in the sunshine on your private terrace. Pick lemons fresh from the tree and add to Portuguese-inspired dishes knocked up in your dinky kitchenette. If you’d prefer to leave the cooking to the professionals, your home is a four-minute walk from the famous Ramiro seafood restaurant. For casual dining in the open-air, take the three-minute stroll to trendy Intendente Square, where small plates and fantastic wine are served well into the evening. For those keen to visit Lisbon’s cultural sights, Baixa’s Santa Justa Elevator and Carmo Convent are reached in less than ten minutes by metro.

About Intendente
The Mayor of Lisbon moved his office into Intendente in 2012, giving it the infusion of funds needed to rebuild and elevate this often forgotten part of town. Only a decade ago, Intendente was in bad shape, but the revitalising initiatives have created an unexpected consequence – an incredible culinary scene, where everything goes. There are still some rough edges, but most of the previously abandoned buildings now home indie record stores, craft fairs, and art galleries. We suggest you start your trip in Largo Café, the artsy meeting point for locals and visitors.
