Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Although this home was built with functionality in mind, we found plenty to love about The Writer's Corne beyond its on-point location in Lisbon. Nestled in one of the most diverse neighbourhoods in Lisbon, Mouraria's narrow and colourful streets will show you a different side of the capital. Minimal interiors, soft furnishings and a laid-back design aesthetic give way to lots of natural light flooding through the space. At the edge of the dining area, there's a great little spot with a chair and desk, flooded with light – perfect for writing your travel memoir or remote working. With the master bedroom featuring its own en-suite bathroom, leaving the main bathroom for the other guests - this home truly is the perfect spot for a small group of friends who want to lap up Lisbon with pure ease and comfort. For days of downtime and relaxation, make the most of the resident-only terrace and infinity pool that offers a breathtaking view of the historic São Jorge Castle. Head to the stunning Jardim da Cerca da Graça park, only a four-minute walk away for a coffee with some fresh air, before weaving in and out of the quaint streets of Mouraria...

About Mouraria

With street performers, Fado shows and lots of unmissable sights, Mouraria should be at the top of your list. A trip through its narrow streets is like stepping back in time, revisiting the rich cultural background even before the great earthquake of 1755. In fact, the story goes that Fado was born in Mouraria, and it’s since made its way to the UNESCO World Heritage list. Although it’s quite central, this neighbourhood has a strong local community and an independent art scene that will show you a side of old, nostalgic Lisbon that you won’t find anywhere else.
