Ideal for seaside romance, this cosy cottage is half a mile from Seahouses Beach and harbourside eateries. While the garden is slightly overlooked by the adjacent homes, we think it's a small price to pay for the south-facing lawn which is a suntrap. Entertainment awaits in the shape of books and games, though there's plenty to do outdoors, including watersports and golfing. Or how about sightseeing? Hop in the car and go three miles to Bamburgh Castle or five miles to Holy Island and Lindisfarne.
