This charming home is full of character. You can look forward to open fireplaces and beamed ceilings, as well as a pretty garden with a seating area for alfresco drinks in the summer. The low ceilings and steep staircases might rule this home out for some, but we like that there’s a ground-floor bedroom, and that you can bring a four-legged friend. The location is ideal for bird watchers, as the cottage is less than 3 miles from Minsmere Bird Reserve. The beach at Aldeburgh is only fifteen minutes away too.

Home truths

Due to the location of this home, we recommend hiring a car if you’d like to see more of the surrounding area. The closest shop is 0.2 miles away, and the nearest pub 0.3 miles, so driving isn’t essential. There’s free private parking for up to three cars.

There are steep, winding stairs to the first floor of this home, which may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility. However, there is a king-size bedroom and shower room on the ground floor.

Due to the age of this home, there are some low beams, and not all rooms have ceiling lights.

Bedroom three has a single bed with a single pull-out bed underneath it. We think this bedroom is best suited to children.
