Mixing traditional elements with contemporary features, it isn't surprising to discover this home was designed from scratch. While the living room and kitchen stand out with pops of bright colour, the bedrooms represent a more traditional, laid-back aesthetic with statement wallpapers and plush carpets. There's even a study that could easily double as a TV room. Families will find the versatility of the twin bedroom useful, and the Kensington location, not far from the High Street and Kensington Gardens, is an added bonus.

Local guide
About Kensington
Affluent and incredibly central, Kensington is a great base for exploring London on foot. Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are on your doorstep and so are the Victoria and Albert, Science, and Natural History Museums. The streets are attractive and well maintained (grand, white stucco facades aplenty) and your neighbours will be a wealthy, conservative set. Lots of positives but probably not the place to let your hair down.
