Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
It’s easy to tell that The Baker & The Photographer is a much-loved home. Flooded with natural light and unique details (we love Pernille’s own photography in the living room), it’s one of those homes that embody Copenhagen really well. Niels dabbles in baking, so you can also expect a fully equipped kitchen, with lots and lots of soul. Located in Islands Brygge, the immediate area isn’t central – but if you love great views and easy access to the world-famous harbour baths, this home could be for you.

Local guide
About Islands Brygge
Taking up a sizable portion of the southern edge of the Copenhagen harbour, Islands Brygge (colloquially known as Bryggen) is suited for those who crave a bit of peace and quiet – and a healthy dose of sea breeze. In the past couple of decades, this part of the city has gone from a scruffy, neglected area with a bad reputation to a stylish, mostly residential neighbourhood loved by families...

Take a dive at Islands Brygge Harbour Bath
With places like Islands Brygge Harbour Baths, it's no wonder why Copenhagen was voted the best city for swimming in 2018. Jump into the harbour or soak up the sun along the waterfront.
See Brygge Bridge, an architectural wonder
Brygge Bridge is the first bridge to be built in Copenhagen harbour for over fifty years. It connects Havneholmen to Islands Brygge and is especially busy during rush hour.
Go for a swim in the harbour at Fisketorvet Harbour Bath
Harbour Bath Fisketorvet lies right beside Fisketorvet, one of Copenhagen's shopping centres. Admission is free, so there's no reason for why you shouldn't go for a swim.
Head to The Harbour for a fancy meal

Swing by Kahyt & Kaffe for a cup of coffee
The nearby area is a little unpolished, but Kahyt & Kaffe is an absolute gem. It's essentially a floating tea/coffee salon, perfect for a cosy cup of something warm and a piece of cake.
Find everything you need at Fisketorvet
Fisketorvet is a large shopping centre with 120 Shops, bars and restaurants. Explore everything it has to offer on a rainy day - you can even catch a film here too.
Dine at Michelin-starred Alouette
Restaurant Alouette recently received its first Michelin star, and it's easy to see why. With a seasonal 5-course-menu and stunning interiors located in an old pencil factory, it's a must for foodies!

Host
This home is managed by Pernille
This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Pernille and Niels are incredibly host minded. They enjoy hosting – and they also love staying in other people’s homes when they are travelling themselves. When they aren’t busy hosting, both are self-employed. Pernille is a wedding photographer, and Niels owns his own baking company.
