Avocado might be small, but it’s well-suited for a stay in Berlin. It’s within walking distance to Rosenthaler Platz – one of our favourite spots in Mitte, filled with coffee shops, restaurants, and boutiques. Prenzlauer Berg is also not too far away. While it’s definitely not the kind of place you host a dinner party, it makes for a great, comfy, and cosy Berlin base.

Home truths
We couldn’t find a home manual when we visited
Despite all of the appliances being high-end, we didn’t find that many utensils in the kitchen for cooking
The bedroom is quite small – the bed can only be accessed from one side
The bathroom is also on the smaller side – the shower is more of a wetroom, so the floor will get wet
It’s on the second floor with no lift – be prepared to climb some steps
