Halfway between Porta Venezia and the Stazione Centrale is Tropicalia. It’s a great little flat, which makes the most of its small footprint with bold, playful design. Colours pop all over the place, and the tall windows ensure that there’s plenty of natural light. The only thing that’s worth flagging at the moment is the number of stairs – Giulio’s trying to get lift access, but at the moment, you’ve got to be ready to handle 130 of them.

About Corso Buenos Aires
Corso Buenos Aires is the "high street" shopping area of Milan. This is not the place for super high-end brands (go to Quadrilatero if that's what you're after) - it's more Zara, H&M, Boggi, where you go to get your fast-fashion fix. It's perhaps not the most exciting area of the city, but it's still nice, and it's not a long journey into the more quaint parts of the historical centre.

Purr in delight at the Crazy Cat Café
Open until aperitivo, this café offers a huge selection of cakes, pastries and hot dishes. Cats slink around the tables, always ready for a cuddle.

Host
This home is managed by Giulio
This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Giulio runs this place pretty much on his own, but he’s very experienced at hosting and it’s a full-time job, at the point. There are lots of good cafes and restaurants around, so feel free to ask Giulio for some recommendations.
