In the perfect position, between Baixa and Alfama, and with beautiful views across the city and down to the river, Pinocchio is a gem of an apartment. Telmo and his family lived here until recently, and you can tell from the way that everything is in the right place. There are none of those glitches that arise when a house was designed to be rented – it all just works. The stairs are the only thing to be aware of, but when given the opportunity to stay in a place as nice as this, you shouldn’t turn it down.

About Alfama
As Lisbon’s oldest neighbourhood, it’s not surprising that Alfama is also the corner of the city with the most character. Here, you’ll get an authentic taste of the real Portugal, away from the tourist-trodden trails of the centre. Unlike most of Lisbon, this area survived the famous 1755 earthquake, preserving an image of the old capital. Steep, cobbled streets are flanked with down-to-earth cafés, crumbling churches and intimate fado venues...

Host
This home is managed by Telmo
This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Telmo and Marisa used to live in this flat, before their family became too big and they had to move. They have a deep connection to the home, and couldn't bear to give it up, so instead they started renting it out, so other people could enjoy it too.
