The word “wow” came up a few times when we visited this place… A former coal crane located in Nordhavnen (the old industrial harbour area), it’s an incredibly special place that offers an out-of-this-world experience. Set up for pampered living in exceptional surroundings, it consists of three levels of unique luxury. One with your living quarters – the bed is heavenly. Another with a huge meeting room and bathroom – the bathtubs have some of the best views we’ve ever come across. And two terraces – one for enjoying magnificent sunsets, the other tailor-made for sunrises.

The hotel-style kitchenette isn’t meant for cooking up a storm – there’s no oven or hob

Be prepared for a lot of up and down – it’s split across three floors with lots of stairs

The host doesn’t accept children unless they are over thirteen years old

The meeting room and spa bathroom can be booked by other guests until 5 pm – after that they will be accessible to you

About Nordhavnen

Nordhavnen still bears remnants of its industrial past, but it’s also transitioning into a new and attractive urban area with lots of personality. Cool shops and independent eateries are already popping up here and there – we especially love Restaurant Silo and Andersen & Maillard, two unique haunts with great food, a warm atmosphere and beautiful harbourside views. There are big plans in the pipeline for this area (prepare yourself...
