Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Located in Kensington – just a stone’s throw from the River Thames – this elegantly dressed apartment is an ideal base for a solo traveller or couple looking to be within walking distance of Kensington Palace, Hyde Park and Royal Albert Hall. It’s not just its prime locale that caught our eye, though. And though you’ve got plenty of restaurant options on your doorstep, the alfresco dining area makes for a great summer spot – especially if you’ve picked up your grocery selection at Whole Foods around the corner – do keep in mind you’ll need to climb the ladder up.

Home truths

London is best explored on foot or via its easily accessible transport links. It's a five-minute walk to High Street Kensington tube station.

This home is located on the second and third floors, with no lift.

Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay.

If you want to stock up on groceries, the closest supermarket is Whole Foods – it's just a few steps away.

The kitchen is lacking some basic crockery and cooking utensils, so it might not be the best choice if you're planning family meals in.

The stairs to the bathroom have no railing and are quite steep.

About Kensington

Affluent and incredibly central, Kensington is a great base for exploring London on foot. Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are on your doorstep and so are the Victoria and Albert, Science, and Natural History Museums. The streets are attractive and well maintained (grand, white stucco facades aplenty) and your neighbours will be a wealthy, conservative set. Lots of positives but probably not the place to let your hair down.
