You know what they say about dynamite. This compact apartment in Sant Martí proves that a practical approach can pack a lot of punch into a small space. By utilising bunk beds in two bedrooms and a stylish Murphy bed to fit another guest in the living area, this modern home works for three adults and four kids, though it's worth noting there's only one full bathroom to share between. The balcony is more of a squeeze, but it's a nice touch for anyone wanting to break away for a moment. Location-wise, restaurants and several beaches dot the coastline only minutes away. Bac de Roda metro stop is an eight-minute walk away if you're itching to travel further afield.

About El Poblenou
El Poblenou is on the rise. Nested between the beach and the old town, it’s a fusion of old and new architecture, quickly becoming the technological heart of Barcelona. It’s a lot more tranquil than most parts of the city, but its list of attractions is growing fast. Scattered between buzzing shops that embrace its rough-luxe feel are some of the most loved and recommended eateries in the whole city. The closer you get to the beach, the more they turn into more traditional tapas restaurants and bars that let you mingle with the locals and travellers alike.
Explore the area
Local restaurants, cafes, museums, sites and activities, recommended by our community of hosts and travel experts
Visit the stone arches at Parc del Clot
Old trains used to come here for repairs when it was still home to the railway workshop - the arches have since been turned into an aqueduct that supports the park's lush vegetation.
Visit the bicycle sculpture at Plaza de la Bicicleta
A small and original square decorated with old bicycles - as odd and as simple as that.

This surreal and innovative urban park project was designed by the French architect Jean Nouvel. Be sure to check out the stunning wall covered in bright bougainvillaea and ivy.
Go shopping mad at Glòries
Glòries used to be a well known flee market, but has since been transformed into more of a mall - there's still a flee market in one part, with upscale shops and eateries in another.
Explore the Espai Subirachs
A fascinating journey through the life and artistic development of Josep Maria Subirachs. This gallery showcases his sculptures, paintings, and graphics in a space curated by his daughter.
