Set in the sleepy village of Poulton, yet just a few minutes drive from historic Cirencester, picture-perfect Bibury, and Cotswold Water Park – this grade II listed cottage offers the best of both worlds. Dating back to the 17th century, exposed beams, original stone flooring, and a wood burner bring all the cottage charm, and the sociable kitchen diner overlooking the garden is a nice touch. Rather keep things easy? The village pub is just an amble away for upper-crust grub. Or fire up the barbecue in the enclosed, private garden – set back from the street, it's blissfully quiet.

Home truths

Unrestricted on-street parking is available outside the cottage.

This home has a steep staircase with very narrow treads, which may be unsuitable for guests with mobility issues.

The enclosed garden has a few dips in the lawn and a drop from the wall surrounding the lawn. Neither the wall nor the steps have handrails, so children will need supervision at all times.

There’s a handy utility room – perfect for storing muddy walking boots.

A starter pack of logs are provided for the wood-burning stove (1st October - 31st March), along with a few essentials to help settle you in.

There is a security camera at the main door.

The shower is very small, and the second bathroom can only be used for baths as the ceiling is low.
