This former artist’s studio tucked away on a quiet street in leafy Chiswick is a real hidden gem. Perfect for two couples sharing, each bedroom and separate bathroom is set apart on two galleried levels for added privacy. Meanwhile, the free-flowing, double-height living space leading out onto a private garden is all about entertaining. If we were being picky, the patio area outside is a little tired – but when the garden is in full bloom, it’s a fine spot to soak in the English sunshine. Location-wise, you’re just a stroll from the bustle of Turnham Green Terrace and the Chiswick High Road, and Turnham Green Station is just minutes from the door – perfect for zipping into central London.

Home truths
Parking in London can be tricky, and there’s no private parking at this home. We recommend sticking to easily accessible public transport where possible.
This home is detached and has a private entrance.
This home has a narrow, spiral staircase to reach the bedrooms. The staircases lead directly into each bedroom, and there are no doors to close off the space. However, each bedroom is placed in separate galleried areas for added privacy. They face each other, but there are curtains for privacy.
We think the patio area of the garden feels a little tired, but we can let that slide for the privacy it brings.
