Situated in Valderice, an easy drive from the city of Trapani, this magnificent ancient fortress is made up of two separate villas with their own pools and spectacular views. The decor is on the traditional side and won't be to everyone's taste, but furry friends are welcome and music lovers can take advantage of the grand piano. In summer months the private pools are available, and there is plenty of space for alfresco dining and sunbathing. You'll want a car here to make the most of your stay – if you're not spending a day in Trapani or on Sicily's western coast, the village of Erice is close by with some fantastic local restaurants.
