Set amidst towering trees, this quintessential craftsman's cabin offers an abundance of privacy and rustic style. With its gabled roof and chestnut-brown walls, the exterior has a real 'cabin in the woods' feel. The timber-beamed ceilings and the floor-to-ceiling windows bring the forest inside your home. While away the evenings by the roaring fire, or in the old-school games room with skee ball and a poker table. Bedrooms boasting en-suites and private balconies means everyone has their own space. There are plenty of places to spend time together, basking in the forest from the outdoor sofas, or cooking up a big group meal in the well-equipped kitchen and dining in style at the elegant long table. Iconic Lake Tahoe is a short drive away, so you can feel at one with nature without really moving from this heavenly forest dwelling.

About Olympic Valley
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
