Right on the shore of Lake Tahoe, you're surrounded by stunning views of the water, mountains, and forest in every direction. The wrap-around deck on the upper floor means you don't miss a single inch of that spectacular view. The whitewashed wood-panelled walls and the huge windows fill the home with light, while the reclaimed wood furniture adds a hint of the forest. The lounge and dining spaces are stylish and comfortable in equal measure. Spend days at home playing shuffleboard, table football, or pool in the games room. For a breath of fresh air, you're spoiled for nearby activities – paddleboard the nearby north shore, sample the latest batch of beer at Fiftyfifty Brewing Co, hit the slopes or bike the trails at Northstar Tahoe (both twenty minutes' drive), kayak in unspoiled Emerald Bay (a forty-minute drive), and ride horses at Camp Richardson Corral (fifty minutes away). After all that action, we highly recommend you finish your days with a sunset soak in the private hot tub and watch the lake reflect the pink and orange of the sky.

Local guide
About Tahoe Vista
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
