The heart and soul of Brighton are on your doorstep with a stay at this ultra-cool apartment set right amongst it in the city's beloved North Laines and just a ten-minute stroll from the beach. You could easily while away the whole day and night diving into the North Laine's buzzing hub of independent artists, curiosity shops, and happening cafes and restaurants. But don't forget the city's other must-sees, starting at the eye-popping spectacle of The Royal Pavilion (seven minutes on foot). And there's always the kiss-me-quick pier (thirteen minutes on foot) for a spin and obligatory fish and chips – preferably in that order. When it's time to take five, you'll find an immaculately presented apartment awaiting. The care that your host, Helen, puts into the interior design of this home is impressive – that bespoke kitchen is a case in point. While over in the bedroom, one big hug of a king-sized bed awaits, along with a freestanding bathtub with room for two. And despite its central location, it feels surprisingly quiet here. So draw the blackout blinds and bag yourself a lie-in – in this famously hedonistic city, you might need it.

About Brighton

Its long, pebbly beach originally attracted wealthy Georgians during the craze for seawater bathing – but now you’re just as likely to find people doing yoga on paddleboards. The beach is still the beating heart of this coastal city, with a long promenade, outdoor art installations and all the traditional fun...
