Industrial chic meets chalet style in this truly unique loft-inspired cottage in the heart of Paris’ 6th arrondissement. Located in a peaceful courtyard framed by trees dating back to the 17th century, this home is ideal for a couple or solo traveller looking for a quiet slice of country living in the middle of the city. Large windows along the length of the walls and skylights on the sloped ceiling allow plenty of natural light to shine through, while the stone walls and floors create an instant feeling of cottage cosiness. We love how the soft textures of the cowhide rug and colourful cushions contrast with the industrial-looking gas fireplace in the living area, where mid-century modern chairs invite you to sit back with a glass of wine. The comfortable bedroom nook framed by a brick wall offers an endlessly peaceful night’s sleep in this quiet corner of the city, while the New York-style bathroom with its industrial shower is a treat to wake up to each morning. Head out to the courtyard to enjoy a cup of coffee by the fountain and luxuriate in the stillness of your cottage hideaway. When you’re ready to explore, you’ve got plenty of... sights within easy walking distance, including the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens (six minutes away), the Musée d'Orsay (twenty minutes away) and the Eiffel Tower (a thirty-five-minute stroll from your door).
