Originally built as a priory in the eleventh century, this medieval chateau gives you an opportunity to holiday like a member of the French nobility. The white stone turrets and sheer size of the building have lost none of their power to draw astonishment in the centuries since it was constructed and this power to surprise continues once you step inside. The interior is a pleasing mix of the traditional and the modern, with wooden ceilinged rooms and stone cellars playing host to sleek wooden floors, ornate beds, and a striking collection of artwork. The grand dining room will bring a sense of occasion to even the simplest of meals, while the subterranean bar is an atmospheric spot for a digestif. Throw in a home cinema, games room and a lounge with an open fire, and there's sure to be something for every guest. When the weather's on its best behaviour, there's a heated pool that benefits from stunning views of distant Alpine peaks. If these prove tempting, your host can help arrange cycling and skiing trips, as well as cooking classes and wine tastings. Closer to home, there are a handful of restaurants in the surrounding Saint Jean de la Porte.

Host
This home is managed by Oliver
This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nearly twenty years ago, Oliver and his friend began curating the world's most unique and rustic getaways. Driven by their own unforgettable experience at a chateau, they have grown remarkably since then. Much like Plum, they believe in hand-picked luxury that doesn't break the bank.
