We're completely hung up on this home in the Cotswolds, a dreamy apartment that's part of a stunning converted barn. Even arriving here has an ethereal charm, driving past miles of rolling green fields to a home that's a true countryside escape. Opening the front door, what first enamoured us were the high ceilings and French doors – the natural light of the farm outside hits every pocket of the living areas. But this home is more than just its light. It's a mix of rustic cottage and manor house in one, where grand stone fireplaces meet ridiculously comfy armchairs. Upstairs the bedroom is stunning and ornate, its large wooden bed living under vaulted ceilings and hugged by baby blue walls. As part of a working farm, the soundtrack to your stay is the cluck of hens and baa of sheep. Immerse yourself in life here, and you'll likely leave an aspiring farmer.

Home truths
There are other homes in the building so you won't be completely remote. The barbecue area is shared with the other apartments
With sheep, pigs, horses, chickens and ducks on-site, the farm can occasionally be a little noisy – and expect some farm smells outside
Stairs are required to access the bedroom, so this home is not suggested for guests with limited mobility
There is parking on-site, but please make sure gateways are unobstructed
The hosts have a further three cottages on the farm sleeping 2-4 in each - ask if you'd like to book more than one of these for your trip

Bath is so rich in historical significance that it has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is bathed in honey hues thanks to the extensive use of Bath Stone, which is showcased magnificently in treasures like the Abbey and the Roman Baths – whose healing waters have drawn crowds for thousands of years. Here you will find the finest examples of Georgian and Regency-era architecture in Britain,...

Host
This home is managed by Caroline
This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. In 2018, Caroline and Jason began renovating their barn with dreams of creating a home away from home in the countryside. In our opinion, they definitely achieved that. They believe the countryside and natural surroundings are integral to the guest experience, and they adore sharing it with visitors to the area. Caroline and Jason live in the barn, but will respect your privacy at all times.
