Arrive at this palatial and stately home – a former Royal residence of Prince Victor Duleep Singh, the Godson to Queen Victoria – in the east of England’s lush Norfolk countryside and be transported to a bygone era of sophistication, refinement and absolute elegance. Perfect for a large family celebration or just an indulgent rural escape together, the sprawling grounds are glorious and the interiors are renovated with all the desired modern conveniences, without losing the home's rustic regality. Part the velvet drapes enclosing your four-poster bed and wake to views of magical forests. Enjoy breakfasts in the garden, afternoon tea around the light and airy dining area, and evening cocktails down in the cellar – we really loved the traditional pub-style entertainment area and bar here. Active types may opt for a clay pigeon shoot, a game of tennis or a jog around the grounds, following the private trails. While the others gather around the log-burning fire, curling up with a good book and even a sing-along around the grand piano – you'll notice the royal patterned wallpaper, large picture windows and ceiling mouldings. Whatever you choose to do here, ensure you round off a lovely day with a tipple...

This home is managed by Hockwold

This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. However you need assistance, they're on hand.
