With sweeping vistas overlooking the rolling hills of the Cotswolds, this cosy cottage is perfect as a romantic rural retreat for two. The farm is home to the Barbour family and they’ve spent years ironing out what any guest might need for an enjoyable stay. On arrival, you will be greeted with fresh flowers, a home-baked cake, and unlimited firewood. This cottage is part of five award-winning self-catering homes and is located on the ground floor of the main converted barn. Partly open plan, the interior is grand and spacious, classically designed with stone and wood finishings. Exposed beams, an African slate floor and a roaring hearth add touches of character, while comfortable armchairs make the perfect spot for a nap or read. Open up the solid ash double doors to a sun-soaked courtyard and explore a further 70 acres of woodland and meadow beyond – enjoy a leafy walk through the countryside and ensure you bring the complimentary picnic hamper with you for a charming lunch in the sunshine. Walking and cycling are encouraged and if you want to re-find your inner child, there’s a games lawn for giant chess, Jenga, croquet and badminton. Whatever you choose to do...
