Originally built to house cattle, your hosts have thoughtfully converted this once-humble seventeenth-century bothy into a romantic Cotswold retreat for two. Step inside, and you'll discover an open-plan living area that's been designed with you in mind. With elegant limestone floors, a compact yet well-equipped kitchen and a vast antique mirror that helps bounce light around the room. Climb the spiral staircase up to the bedroom and en-suite bathroom with exposed wooden beams, a neutral colour palette and an irresistible combo of modern and antique furniture. Up here, you'll also find a door that leads directly onto the stone steps outside – originally used by a herdsman who would've slept above his cattle. You'll find the charming village of Bibury right on your doorstep – once described by William Morris as 'the most beautiful village in England'. You're just a few minutes' walk from a local pub, with a crackling log fire and garden, as well as the iconic Arlington Row Cottages. Slightly further afield, visit the picturesque town of Burford, its famous High Street – lined with tea rooms and antique shops – sweeps down towards the River Windrush, with plenty of intriguing alleyways and delightful side streets to... explore.
