Most tourists make a beeline for the Cornish coast – but little do they know that this beloved landscape is home to another beautiful feature, the Fal River. The surroundings here are slightly different, where green pasture gives way to mixed woodland and small pebbled riverside beaches. This characterful, quintessentially Cornish cottage dates back to the 1800s and provides perfect panoramic views over these stunning vistas, with three separate outside seating areas to choose from. Watch the sailboats float by as you lie on the garden bed, or have breakfast on the terrace while waving to a passing paddle-boarder – the river is never far away, and you can even view the shimmering water from your double bed. Trelissick is just a twenty-minute drive away, and Swanpool Beach is a sandy cove half an hour away, beside Swanpool Nature Reserve. After all that exploring, stop at the local inn three doors down for a pint before heading home to play a board game in front of the cosy log burner.

This home is managed by Philip & Lubi

This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Phillip and Lubi are a couple that has been hosting for two years. They bought the property after holidaying in Cornwall for many years, as they both share a love for paddle boarding and were attracted by the stunning river views of the local area. Lubi is an artist and created most of the artwork in the home herself. The pair are knowledgeable of Cornwall and have a huge interest in local history, and so they will be happy to answer any questions you have about their home and its location too.
