This stunning York townhouse with a basement cinema and games room is located immediately off Bishy Road (voted Britain’s Best High street). The house sits right by the ancient walls and it's just an eight-minute walk to the city centre. Arriving at the house, you’re greeted with a freshly-baked cake and all the essentials for a cuppa. You can then snuggle up on one of the sofas in front of the wood-burning stove, or if it’s sunny sit out on the bistro seating in the private south-facing courtyard. In the bedroom, it's all about the finer details with an Egyptian cotton towel for each guest, pocket sprung mattresses, and original fireplaces adding a touch of Georgian charm. The basement was once a pub cellar and has been transformed into a private, cosy cinema room and small games room with foosball. It is the ideal spot to wind down in the evening along with Netflix and a library of books.
