It doesn't get much better than sliding open the doors each morning and sipping your coffee with a view like this. A contemporary studio apartment, it's set overlooking the seaside village of Aberdaron, on the very tip of the Llyn Peninsula. It's all on one floor and has been specifically designed to make the most of the views. There's a stylish kitchenette that makes up for its small size with luxurious touches, like an induction hob and Quooker instant boil tap. There's a stylish wet room too, and a bed you can see the sea from. But the real attraction here is the deck. With unrestricted views, it leads out onto an acre of gardens with views across the village and far out to sea. If you can drag yourselves away for a day out, there are plenty of beaches to explore in the area: from Aberdaron, just a short walk away, to Porthor and Abersoch. Or, if hiking is your thing, head to the peninsula's coastal path or drive to the mainland and Snowdonia National Park.

The southern coast is ideal for families, with sandy beaches and sweet seaside towns full of indy retailers, cosy cafes and welcoming beer gardens. It’s perfect...
